Build Something Together

Image
Lincoln was not born wealthy—in fact, as a boy he lived in a one-room log cabin with his family! You could use blocks or toy logs to build something with a friend. To start, you'll need to decide together what your building should look like. Since everyone has different ideas, you might disagree! And that's OK. When that happens, practice finding a solution that allows you to move forward. You could: Merge both ideas to find a compromise . For example, if one of you wants to build a castle, and the other person wants to build a train station, you could compromise by building a castle-shaped train station! Come up with a totally new idea that both of you like. Take turns adding pieces and let the building grow in unexpected ways, with one person building part and then another person building some. What will you create together?! The possibilities are endless!
